Nicole Wild

I am delighted to share the work of talented Poet, Nicole Wild, who has just published her first book, “Rooted:A Once Unchained Anthology” ~A collection of poems challenging modern perspectives on life, beautifully amplified by unique, creative flare.

Unchained1

CHANGE

Beast drapes his shoulders

His scornful mothers whipping tongue

Tells him he’s unlovable

“It’s he who’s the broken one”

Her death does come

He mans the gates with heavy guns

Believes he’s unlovable

“He’d only break someone”

They all got stuck here

Inside his long door’d corridors

Believing he’s unreasonable

“Not where love belongs”

Grace came to the gates

They were towering and safe

Believing she could move beyond

“Is this where I belong?”

Beast sees her eyes

She drinks deep his soul

His blood brings her love

“We’re no longer broken, we’re one.”

ABOUT ME

A shining world unseen

rivers, fishes and seas

in me

raging, coarsing, flooding

overwhelming, breaking seams

Earth my roots do love you

brambles, birds and trees

I see

soaring, growing, living

breathing hope, believe

Father sky I am yours

thunder, rain and air

I live

beneath, learn, concede

Unfolding plan, unseen.

Nicole Wild rightly deserves the 5* reviews and praise received on Amazon.

The last line in this gorgeous anthology reads ‘We write to heal our souls’. My goodness, how through her poems, the author takes the reader on a journey, through the emotions that flow through the human heart. Her words are poignant, delicate, strong. And throughout you hear the call of an incredibly beautiful soul. I absolutely loved this book. Highly recommended.”

Eyes of the Witch

She saw deep into the souls of men.

Their secrets, fears, hopes and desires.

Such was the power of the witch.

She needed no obsidian skrying glass.

Some scorned her for her second sight.

Some found her an illuminating Light.

She cared not, for it was all the same in this game called life✨

Touch of a velvet glove

With the touch of a velvet glove

And iron fist of controlling love

Insidious fingers of such jealousy

Tarnished Knight, without chivalry

Rivers of tears, fair maiden did weep

For her soul was not yours to keep

She longed to walk in hallowed halls

But withered within your castle walls

Dance of the Dragonfly

Autumn leaves are falling. Summer has long gone, fading into memories of the magic of a love that enchanted both Earth and Sky. What mortal hand can hold the dance of Dragonflies?

Not you, nor I.

Winter bids me time to sleep, The yearnings of Spring call to you.

Fly away, fly high, on gossamer wings, my Dragonfly.

Your seasons of passion change, my constant heart sings a song of eternal love.

A Witch’s Moon

Deep within a magical wooded hollow

He beheld her, The Lady, standing there

Fading light upon her rich auburn hair.

Dressed in a delicate gown of Autumn brown

Slender fingers beckoned to him, follow

As they danced to the song of the rich earth

Leaves of burnished brown slowly fell down

Beneath a canopy of silvery soft starlight

And golden honeyed light of a Witch’s moon

Enchanted by the Lady of the Greenwood

The Lord of the forest, her consort that night.

Do Not Fall In Love

John_William_Waterhouse_-_The_Crystal_Ball.jpg
The Crystal Ball by John William Waterhouse (1902, oil on canvas)

Do not fall in love with me

I do not exist in your reality

All you feel is just imaginary

In shadowlands do I dwell

A Sorceress casting spells

By skying arts I do foretell

Words you will not want to hear

And so will fall many bitter tears

Loving one from another Sphere

Burning Flame

Beguiled by my burning flame

Little moth, play your game

Beware what you seek from me

My fire burns with the intensity

To destroy you and your desire

For I am forged from hell fire.

Nephilim

The_Sons_of_God_Saw_the_Daughters_of_Men_That_They_Were_Fair,_by_Daniel_Chester_French,_modeled_by_1918,_carved_1923_-_Corcoran_Gallery_of_Art_-_DSC01065

An Angel made from pure Love
Looked down from heaven above

His eyes fell upon a Maiden fair
With cornflower eyes and Flaxen Hair

She was comely, she was sweet
He gazed at her, their eyes did meet

Electricity shot though the Angel’s core
A feeling he had never had before

They lay down in bliss with each other
Human form entwined with Angelic lover

And thus a race of Earth giants did begin
Their hero offspring, the Nephilim

Silent Scream

Lonely heart.jpg
Beautiful Image by Kellepics on Pixabay

Lost in the forests of the night

No sun, no moon or soft starlight

Lonely life but a waking dream

No one hears the silent scream

Searching for the hand of Grace

Reaching down to this heavy place

Fragile heart broken beyond repair

Fragments scattering into the air

Fall bleeding onto the forest floor

Broken body and lost soul no more

If …

If I asked you to dance

Would you dance with me?

If I asked you to sing

Would you sing to my tune?

If I asked you heal me

Would you heal your scars?

If I asked you to kiss me

Would we touch the stars?

If I asked do you love me

Would it be too soon?

She walked in the shadows

Wrapped in velvet night

A blessed cloak of darkness

Soothing her unquiet Soul

The sun rises

I breathe

I laugh

I cry

I die

The sun sets

I am gone

Leaving the River of life

To flow on…

Lily Flame

William-Adolphe_Bouguereau_(1825-1905)_-_La_Nuit_(1883)
William-Adolphe Bouguereau ~ La Nuit (1883)

Lady Lily Flame

My Lady,  My Love, My Lily Flame

Do you wear a sullied cloak of shame

Has purity and innocence taken flight

To the beguiling dark embrace of Night

Nyx and Erebus, alluring, starless charms

Mists enticing you into seductive arms

My Lady, My Love, My Lily Flame

Guileless innocence, without blame

Deny the Ferryman his Stygian fee

From Thanatos tenebrous domain flee

By  flames of Winter burning bright

Take safe passage through the  night

My Lady, My Love, My Lily Flame

Capricious gods may play Night’s game

Gates of the rising sun light the way

To sanctuary of Hemera’s breaking day

Purified by the kiss of the  Morning Dew

Absolution and Benediction fall on you
